Long Division with Remainders
Division past the facts with Millie and her kitten Biscuit: sharing with leftovers, why the remainder is always smaller than the number you divide by, what to do with the remainder (one more box, leave it off, or share it), dividing tens and hundreds, 2-digit and 3-digit numbers divided by 1 digit, checking with multiplication, and two-step challenge stories. Remainders are written with an R: 14 ÷ 3 = 4 R 2 means 4 in each group and 2 left over.
Every card is a little story: “Chef Rosie packs 14 cupcakes in boxes that hold 4. How many boxes does she need for all of them?” Each idea has its own world and a big seek-and-find picture to explore.
