Lungs and Breathing: The Bubble Party
Welcome to the Bubble Party in the Fairy Garden! There are pinwheels to spin, balloons to puff up and bubbles to blow, and all of it starts with a big breath.
Remember: You have 2 lungs in your chest. When you breathe in, air goes down your windpipe to your lungs, and your body takes in oxygen. When you breathe out, you get rid of carbon dioxide. A big muscle under your lungs, the diaphragm, helps you breathe.
Magic trick: Put your hands on your ribs and take a deep breath: feel your chest grow as your lungs fill up like two balloons!
Seek and Find
Look carefully at the picture of the Bubble Party and find:
- 🌀 Find the 5 pinwheels. Breathe out on one and watch it spin.
- 🎈 Find the 4 balloons. Your 2 lungs fill up with air like balloons.
- 🫧 Find the 3 bottles of bubble mix. Every bubble is full of the air you breathed out.
- 🐱 Millie and her kitten Biscuit are hiding in every picture. Can you spot them?
