The Water Cycle: Rainbow Castle Hill

From the top of Rainbow Castle Hill, Princess Ruby can watch water travel all the way around! The Sun warms the castle lake, clouds float over the hill, rain falls on the far side, and a river carries the water back down to the lake.

Remember: The water cycle has 4 steps that go round and round: evaporation (the Sun heats water and it rises as vapor), condensation (the vapor cools and makes clouds), precipitation (water falls as rain, snow or hail) and collection (water gathers in oceans, lakes, rivers and the ground). The Sun powers it all, and the same water is used again and again.

Magic trick: Every Cloud Pours Cool water: Evaporation, Condensation, Precipitation, Collection.

Seek and Find

Look carefully at the picture of Rainbow Castle Hill and find:

  • โ˜๏ธ Find the 3 clouds. They formed when water vapor cooled high in the sky: condensation.
  • ๐ŸŒง๏ธ Find the raining cloud. Its drops grew heavy and fell: precipitation.
  • ๐Ÿฆข Find the 4 swan boats on the lake. The lake is where water collects, ready for the Sun to evaporate it again.
  • ๐Ÿฑ Millie and her kitten Biscuit are hiding in every picture. Can you spot them?
