Acute Triangles: The Castle Pennants
Rainbow Castle is decorated for a party! Strings of pointy pennants hang from the towers, and Princess Ruby’s crowns sparkle on a velvet cushion.
Remember: An acute triangle has all 3 angles acute: every one is less than 90°. One small angle is not enough, because every triangle has small angles. An equilateral triangle is always acute: its 3 angles are all 60°.
Magic trick: Acute triangle: every corner is “a cute” little angle.
Seek and Find
Look carefully at the picture of the Castle Pennants at Rainbow Castle and find:
- 🚩 Find the 6 pennants. Each has 3 angles: 6 × 3 = 18 angles in all.
- 👑 Find the 3 crowns on the cushion. Look at their pointy tips!
- 🌹 Find the 2 potted rose bushes by the gate. Princess Ruby’s favourite flowers.
- 🐱 Millie and her kitten Biscuit are hiding in every picture. Can you spot them?
