Its and It's: The Fairy Garden
Tiptoe into the Fairy Garden! Little snails carry their shells along a log, red toadstools grow in a row, and a bird sits on its nest.
Remember: its means it belongs to it: “The snail carries its shell.” it’s is a short way to say it is or it has: “It’s sunny!” “It’s been a lovely day.”
Magic trick: Try saying it is in the gap. If it makes sense, write it’s. Its is an owner word like his and her, and they have no little mark.
