Present: Rainbow Castle
It is Princess Ruby’s birthday at Rainbow Castle! A pile of shiny presents waits on the table, and when the guests’ names are called, each one says “Present!”
Remember: present has two meanings that are said the same way. A present is a gift: “Zoe made a present for the princess.” Present can also mean being here, not away: “Every guest is present in the great hall.”
Magic trick: If you can wrap it, open it or give it, a present is a gift. If it is about who came and who is away, present means here.
Seek and Find
Look carefully at the picture of Rainbow Castle and find:
