Millie & Biscuit

Bat: The Star Tower

It is evening on the green hill by the Star Tower. Coach Nora’s team is finishing a ball game, and little bats are waking up to flutter out under the first stars.

Remember: bat (said one way) has two meanings. A bat can be a small furry flying animal: “A bat sleeps all day and wakes up at night.” A bat can also be a stick for hitting a ball: “Mia swings the bat and hits the ball.”

Magic trick: If the bat flies, flaps or hangs upside down, it is an animal. If someone swings it or holds it with both hands, it is for hitting a ball.

Seek and Find

Look carefully at the picture of the green hill by the Star Tower and find:

  • 🦇 Find the 4 little bats flying in the sky. These bats are small furry flying animals.
  • 🏏 Find the 3 wooden bats by the fence. These bats are sticks for hitting a ball.
  • ⚾ Find the 2 balls in the basket. Coach Nora’s team hits them with the bats.
  • 🐱 Millie and her kitten Biscuit are hiding in every picture. Can you spot them?
