Perimeter or Area?: Millie's Bedroom Makeover
Millie is giving her bedroom a makeover! Some jobs go around the edge, like a border or fairy lights. Others cover the inside, like a carpet or tiles. First decide which one the job needs, then work it out.
Remember: Around the edge (fence, ribbon, border, trim, lights) โ perimeter, in cm or m. Covering the inside (carpet, tiles, paint, stickers) โ area, in square cm or square m.
Magic trick: Ask: “Would I walk around it, or paint all over it?” Walk around: perimeter. Paint all over: area.
