Guest and Guessed, Aloud and Allowed: The Octopus Tea Party
Welcome to the Octopus Tea Party! Octavia has four guests around her table, and she is reading a story aloud to them. Everyone guessed what is inside the pink present, but nobody is allowed to peek!
Remember: A guest is someone you invite to visit: “Octavia has four guests.” Guessed is guess in the past: “Hana guessed the answer.” Aloud means out loud, so others can hear: “Octavia reads the story aloud.” Allowed means it is OK, you may do it: “Each guest is allowed one cupcake.”
Magic trick: Guessed is guess + ed, like asked and wished: it already happened. Aloud has loud inside it: a + loud. Allowed is allow + ed: someone said you may.
Seek and Find
Look carefully at the picture of the Octopus Tea Party and find:
- 🐢 Find the 4 guests at Octavia’s table. A seahorse, a sea turtle, a crab and a starfish.
- 📖 Find Octavia reading a story aloud. Everyone can hear her.
- 🎁 Find the pink present. Everyone guessed what is inside, but no one is allowed to peek!
- 🐱 Millie and her kitten Biscuit are hiding in every picture. Can you spot them?
