Habitats: The Habitat Museum
Welcome to the Habitat Museum! Grandma Bea leads the way past five big glass windows, and each one is a little world: a forest, a desert, the ocean, a pond and the snowy Arctic.
Remember: A habitat is the place where an animal lives. It gives the animal food, water and shelter. Each animal is suited to its own habitat: a camel to the dry desert, a whale to the salty ocean, a frog to a fresh-water pond, a polar bear to the icy Arctic.
Magic trick: A habitat is an animal’s home address: it has the kitchen (food), the tap (water) and the bedroom (shelter).
Seek and Find
Look carefully at the picture of the Habitat Museum and find:
- 🖼️ Find the 5 habitat windows. Forest, desert, ocean, pond and Arctic: 5 different habitats.
- 🐻❄️ Find the polar bear on the ice. The Arctic is cold and snowy, and the polar bear’s thick fur keeps it warm.
- 🐪 Find the camel in the desert. The desert gets very little rain.
- 🐱 Millie and her kitten Biscuit are hiding in every picture. Can you spot them?
