Animal Groups: The Animal Parade
Here comes the Animal Parade! Puppies, ducks and butterflies march down the meadow path, and every animal belongs to a group of animals that are alike.
Remember: Mammals have hair or fur and feed their babies milk. Birds have feathers and lay eggs. Fish live in water and breathe with gills. Reptiles have dry, scaly skin. Amphibians, like frogs, have smooth, wet skin and start life in water. Insects have 6 legs.
Magic trick: Look at the outside! Fur means mammal, feathers mean bird, scales and fins mean fish, dry scales mean reptile, wet skin means amphibian, 6 legs mean insect.
