The 10 Times Table: Lucky Rainbow Hill
Welcome to Lucky Rainbow Hill, where things come in tens! The leprechaun finds 10 gold coins at each end of the rainbow, the tooth fairy pays $10 for every tooth, and the flower pots on the hill each grow 10 tulips.
The 10 times table
- 1 × 10 = 10
- 2 × 10 = 20
- 3 × 10 = 30
- 4 × 10 = 40
- 5 × 10 = 50
- 6 × 10 = 60
- 7 × 10 = 70
- 8 × 10 = 80
- 9 × 10 = 90
- 10 × 10 = 100
- 11 × 10 = 110
- 12 × 10 = 120
Magic trick: To multiply by 10, just put a 0 on the end: 7 × 10 = 70.
Seek and Find
Look carefully at the picture of Lucky Rainbow Hill and find:
- 🪙 Find the 2 pots of gold, one at each end of the rainbow. If each pot holds 10 gold coins, the leprechaun has 2 × 10 = 20 coins.
- 🌷 Find the 3 pots of tulips by the cottage door. If each pot has 10 tulips, that’s 3 × 10 = 30 tulips.
- 🧚 Find the tooth fairy. She pays $10 for every tooth. Can you find the leprechaun too?
- 🐱 Millie and her kitten Biscuit are hiding in every picture. Can you spot them?
