The Big Mix-Up Challenge: Millie's Kitchen
Grandma Bea is baking in Millie’s Kitchen, and every tricky word is back for a challenge! Trays of cookies cool on the counter, jars wait on the shelf and a pie sits by the window.
Remember: Every pair from this deck: there / their / they’re, to / too / two, one / won, your / you’re, whose / who’s, its / it’s, we’re / were / where and then / than. Read the whole sentence before you choose.
Magic trick: Say the long way in the gap: they are, you are, who is, it is, we are. If it makes sense, use the short form with the little mark. If not, use the other word.
Seek and Find
Look carefully at the picture of Millie’s Kitchen and find:
- 🍪 Find the 2 trays with 6 cookies on each. That makes 12 cookies, and they’re still warm!
- 🫙 Find the 3 jars on the shelf. Look at their pink lids.
- 🥧 Find the 1 pie by the window. Whose pie is it? Grandma Bea’s!
- 🐱 Millie and her kitten Biscuit are hiding in every picture. Can you spot them?
