Challenge: A Busy Saturday at the Bunny Farm Market
It’s a busy Saturday at the Bunny Farm Market, and Millie has a lot to fit in: helping Farmer Daisy the bunny, a hayride, baking with Grandma Bea and a party! These are two-step time problems.
Remember: Do one step at a time. First find the time after the first thing, then use it to find the time after the second. Or add the two lengths of time first: 45 minutes + 15 minutes = 1 hour, then add that to the start.
Magic trick: Write the times down like a little timeline: start → after step 1 → after step 2.
Seek and Find
Look carefully at the picture of the Bunny Farm Market and find:
- 🥕 Find the 6 bunches of carrots. If picking each bunch takes 10 minutes, 6 bunches take 60 minutes: 1 hour.
- 🌾 Find the 4 hay bales. If Farmer Daisy stacks 1 bale every 15 minutes, 4 bales take 4 quarter hours: 1 hour.
- 🌷 Find the 5 tulips in pots. Count by 5s: 5, 10, 15, 20, 25.
- 🐱 Millie and her kitten Biscuit are hiding in every picture. Can you spot them?
