Blue and Blew: The Lemonade Stand
Welcome to the Lemonade Stand on a very windy day! Zoe and Mia have blue cups on the counter, and a big gust has sent the napkins flying.
Remember: Blue is how a clear sky looks on a sunny day: “Mia pours lemonade into blue cups.” Blew is what the wind did, a time before now. Today the wind blows, yesterday it blew: “The wind blew the napkins away.”
Magic trick: Many words for things that already happened end the same way: the wind blew, a bird flew, a plant grew. Blue ends like glue and true.
Seek and Find
Look carefully at the picture of the Lemonade Stand and find:
- 🥤 Find the 4 blue cups on the counter. Blue like the sky.
- 🍃 Find the 3 pink napkins flying in the air. The wind blew them away!
- 🐱 Millie and her kitten Biscuit are hiding in every picture. Can you spot them?
