Millie & Biscuit

I'm, She's and We're: The Bunny Farm Market

Hop over to Farmer Daisy’s Bunny Farm Market! Baby bunnies sit by the hay, baskets of carrots line the table, and tall sunflowers nod in a row.

Remember: Short forms with am, is and are: I am → I’m, she is → she’s, he is → he’s, it is → it’s, we are → we’re, you are → you’re, they are → they’re. “I’m happy, and we’re going to the market!”

Magic trick: The apostrophe sits where the first letter of am, is or are jumped out: the a of am in I’m, the i of is in she’s, the a of are in we’re. Say it the long way first: if I am or we are fits, the short form fits too.

Seek and Find

Look carefully at the picture of the Bunny Farm Market and find:

  • 🐰 Find the 4 baby bunnies. They’re hopping with joy: they’re is a short way to say they are.
  • 🥕 Find the 3 baskets of carrots. Farmer Daisy says: “I’m so proud of my carrots!”
  • 🌻 Find the 5 sunflowers. We’re the tallest flowers here, they seem to say.
  • 🐱 Millie and her kitten Biscuit are hiding in every picture. Can you spot them?
