Repeating Patterns: The Bead Bracelet Club
Welcome to the Bead Bracelet Club! Zoe and Mia thread beads in repeating patterns: pink, blue, pink, blue… The same little group of beads comes back again and again.
Remember: Find the part that repeats first. In pink, pink, blue, pink, pink, blue, … the part that repeats is pink, pink, blue: 3 beads long.
Magic trick: To find the 10th bead, jump along the pattern one whole repeat at a time. With a 3-bead repeat, beads 3, 6 and 9 end a repeat, so the 10th bead starts a new one!
Seek and Find
Look carefully at the picture of the Bead Bracelet Club and find:
- 📿 Find the top bracelet. It goes pink, blue, pink, blue… The part that repeats is just 2 beads: pink, blue.
- 📿 Find the middle bracelet. It goes pink, pink, blue, again and again. Every 3rd bead is blue!
- ⭐ Find the star and heart bracelet. Star, heart, star, heart… What comes after the last heart? A star!
- 🐱 Millie and her kitten Biscuit are hiding in every picture. Can you spot them?
