Space Record-Breakers: The Trophy Hall
Welcome to the Trophy Hall, where Professor Luna Moon gives a golden trophy to every space record-breaker: the hottest, the tallest, the stormiest and more!
Remember: Venus is the hottest planet, even hotter than Mercury, because its thick clouds trap the heat. Mars has the tallest volcano, Olympus Mons. Jupiter’s Great Red Spot is a giant storm. Sunlight takes about 8 minutes to reach Earth.
Magic trick: Venus is a Very hot oven: its thick blanket of clouds keeps all the heat in.
Seek and Find
Look carefully at the picture of the Trophy Hall and find:
- 🏆 Find the 5 golden trophies on the shelf, and the one Professor Luna Moon is polishing. 5 + 1 = 6 trophies: one for each record, like the hottest planet, the tallest volcano and the biggest storm.
- 🌋 Find the tall red volcano. The tallest volcano we know is Olympus Mons on Mars.
- 🌀 Find Jupiter’s red spot. The Great Red Spot is a giant storm.
- 🐱 Millie and her kitten Biscuit are hiding in every picture. Can you spot them?
