Millie & Biscuit

Which and Witch, No and Know: The Octopus Tea Party

Welcome to the Octopus Tea Party, where today everyone is in costume! Three guests have come dressed as friendly witches, and Octavia keeps asking which cup each guest would like.

Remember: Which is a question word for choosing: “Which cup would you like?” A witch is a person in stories who does magic, with a pointy hat: “Mia dressed up as a friendly witch.” No is the opposite of yes: “No, thank you.” To know is to have something in your head: “I know how to pour tea.”

Magic trick: Which starts with wh, like the other question words: what, where, when and who. Know starts with a silent k, like knew and knowledge. No is the tiny one: just n and o, the opposite of yes.
