Times 10 and 100: Millie's Craft Room
Welcome to Millie’s Craft Room! Here everything comes in tens and hundreds: sticker sheets of 10, bundles of 10 craft sticks and big jars of 100 beads. That makes multiplying super quick.
Remember: Times 10: every number moves up one place, so put one 0 on the end: 4 × 10 = 40. Times 100: put two 0s on the end: 3 × 100 = 300.
Magic trick: Count the zeros! Times 10 has one zero, so the answer gets one more 0. Times 100 has two zeros, so the answer gets two more.
Seek and Find
Look carefully at the picture of Millie’s Craft Room and find:
- ⭐ Find the 4 sticker sheets. Each sheet has 10 stickers, so 4 × 10 = 40 stickers.
- 🫙 Find the 3 bead jars. If each jar holds 100 beads, then 3 × 100 = 300 beads.
- 🎀 Find the 5 bundles of craft sticks. If each bundle has 10 sticks, then 5 × 10 = 50 sticks.
- 🐱 Millie and her kitten Biscuit are hiding in every picture. Can you spot them?
