Turns and Straight Angles: Coach Nora's Dance Studio
Twirl! In Coach Nora’s Dance Studio, the little bunny dancers spin and turn. Every turn is an angle: a quarter turn, a half turn, a three-quarter turn or a full turn all the way round.
Remember: A quarter turn is 90°, a half turn is 180°, a three-quarter turn is 270°, and a full turn is 360°. A half turn makes a straight line: a 180° angle is called a straight angle.
Magic trick: Count by 90s for every quarter turn: 90, 180, 270, 360. Four quarter turns bring you all the way back to where you started!
Seek and Find
Look carefully at the picture of Coach Nora’s Dance Studio and find:
- 🐰 Find the bunny dancers. There are 5. If each bunny makes one full turn, each one turns 360°.
- ⭕ Find the hula hoops on the wall. There are 3. A hoop goes all the way round, just like a full turn of 360°.
- 🐱 Millie and her kitten Biscuit are hiding in every picture. Can you spot them?
