Challenge: Coach Nora's Triangle Games

Challenge time on Coach Nora’s Field! Orange cones mark out triangle running tracks, triangle pennants flap on the fence, and the goal frames are braced with triangles. Every problem here needs two steps.

Remember: Use everything: name a triangle by its angles (acute, right, obtuse) and its sides (equilateral, isosceles, scalene); its 3 angles add up to 180°; its perimeter is all 3 sides added. Builders use triangles because a triangle keeps its shape when you push on it.

Magic trick: Read twice: is the question about the sides, the angles, or the distance around?

Seek and Find

Look carefully at the picture of Coach Nora’s Triangle Games and find:

  • 🔶 Find the 3 cones at the corners of the big painted triangle. Run all the way around it: that’s its perimeter.
  • 🚩 Find the 7 pennants on the fence. 7 × 3 = 21 angles flapping in the wind.
  • 🥅 Find the 2 goal frames. Their sides are triangles, which keep the frames strong and steady.
  • 🐱 Millie and her kitten Biscuit are hiding in every picture. Can you spot them?
