Tiptoe into the Fairy Garden, where things come in twos! Every fairy has 2 shimmery wings, every bunny has 2 long ears and the cherries always grow in pairs.
The 2 times table
- 1 × 2 = 2
- 2 × 2 = 4
- 3 × 2 = 6
- 4 × 2 = 8
- 5 × 2 = 10
- 6 × 2 = 12
- 7 × 2 = 14
- 8 × 2 = 16
- 9 × 2 = 18
- 10 × 2 = 20
- 11 × 2 = 22
- 12 × 2 = 24
Magic trick: Times 2 means doubling: add the number to itself. 2 × 7 is 7 + 7 = 14. Every answer in the 2 times table is an even number.
Seek and Find
Look carefully at the picture of the Fairy Garden and find:
- 🧚 Find the 4 fairies. Each one has 2 wings. 4 fairies × 2 wings = 8 wings.
- 🐰 Find the 3 bunnies. Each one has 2 long ears. 3 × 2 = 6 ears.
- 🍒 Find the 6 pairs of cherries hanging from the tree. Each stem holds 2 cherries. 6 × 2 = 12 cherries.
- 🐱 Millie and her kitten Biscuit are hiding in every picture. Can you spot them?
