Silent H: The Star Tower
Welcome to the Star Tower, where Professor Luna Moon is telling friendly ghost stories! Sand timers count down each hour, and a toy rhino sits beside the big telescope.
Remember: Sometimes the letter h is silent. At the start of hour and honest, you hear no h sound at all. After the g in ghost and after the r in rhyme and rhino, the h is silent too: “We will look at the stars for one hour.”
Magic trick: A ghost is so quiet that even its h makes no sound! And an honest friend always tells the truth, even with a silent h.
Seek and Find
Look carefully at the picture of the Star Tower and find:
- ⏳ Find the 3 sand timers on the shelf. Each one counts down one hour, with a silent h.
- 👻 Find the 2 friendly ghosts on the cushions. Ghost has a silent h.
- 🦏 Find the toy rhino by the telescope. Rhino has a silent h, too.
- 🐱 Millie and her kitten Biscuit are hiding in every picture. Can you spot them?
