Rings and Moons: The Model Workshop
In the Model Workshop, Professor Luna Moon builds planets with their rings and moons on little wires. Saturn wears its famous rings, and tiny moons circle Earth and Mars.
Remember: Saturn has the biggest, brightest rings, made of chunks of ice and rock. Earth has 1 moon and Mars has 2 small moons. Mercury and Venus have no moons, and Jupiter and Saturn have dozens of moons each.
Magic trick: Count the moons going out from the Sun: Mercury 0, Venus 0, Earth 1, Mars 2.
Seek and Find
Look carefully at the picture of the Model Workshop and find:
- 🪐 Find Saturn and its wide rings. Its rings are made of chunks of ice and rock.
- 🌍 Find Earth and its moon. Earth has 1 moon.
- 🔴 Find Mars and its 2 little moons. Earth’s moon + Mars’s moons: 1 + 2 = 3 moons.
- 🐱 Millie and her kitten Biscuit are hiding in every picture. Can you spot them?
